Will Wishin' Make It So?

When I have a little time on my hands, as I did last night, I begin to think....over think, really. I began pondering my blogosphere friends. I pondered how I envy them, but for entirely different reasons than their weight loss successes and strides in becoming healthier people. Everyone has influenced me in some way or another. Mostly you all make me smile, but I also have a bit of envy goin' on, too.

Having said this, I came up with my "Bloggers' Wish List".

I wish I could be skinny like The Perfect Child.
I wish I could run a marathon like The Primary Child.
I wish I could be Cranky like Cranky Fitness... instead of just old and cranky. :)
I wish I was popular like Patty.
I wish I was as prolific a blogger as Fab Kate.
I wish I was as successful in my journey as Deborah and Suzi have been.
I wish I was as Earnest & Determined as Mary Fran.
I wish I was as wonderfully amusing as Cammy.
I wish I was as informative as The Miz.
I wish I was as busy at working toward my goal as Tina.
I wish I was as irreverent as Jack.
I wish I was as witty as Gigi.
I wish I had the stick-to-it-tiveness that Fat Free Me has.

Now, mind you, I'm not really complaining about my journey and it's twists and turns, I'm just wishin'. Never hurts to have a wish list, in my opinion. But I do want to thank all of you for your encouragement and wonderfully funny comments and blogs. I'm having such a good time with all of you!!! You're all invited over for a healthy dinner next weekend!!! My tomatoes won't be ready yet, but I'll find some at the Farmers' Market!!! :)

In the meantime, I know you'll all want to start packing and making plans for the trip to Iowa, so I won't keep you any longer. Ya'll have a wonderful weekend. I'm going to Omaha for our granddaughter's dance recital, so I'm gonna have a great weekend!!

  1. I'll be there :) just let me know what time!
You know what's funny?? I don't think of myself as successful as i'm still not where i want to be! Hey maybe i am :) Thanks

  2. You are so sweet and you are right, it doesn't hurt to have a wish list. My mom taught me to never be envious of other people but I think it's okay when it's good things like being envious of my best friends flat stomach. BUT when you take those wishes and make them goals, everything on that list can be accomplished. I love reading your blog too and the support from everyone here is amazing. Have a GREAT weekend.

  3. Did you say you wish you were "as irrelevant as Jack"?

That's a helluva thing to say!

  4. LOL, and I thought you were going to say, you wished you lived near the best golf course in the world as F[f]M, heh-heh!

I must add that you are a great blogger too - it is the encouragement and the checking in that helps - oh and your sense of humour - so funny!

  5. You're so sweet, and from where I sit, you're already ALL of those things. And so much more!

  6. Wow, I don't think a day has gone by that I didn't wish I had your cleverness and kindness, had your children, and lived in Iowa! I wish I played golf, had grandchildren, and a command of the English language. And when I say "V", my husband know exactly who I am talking about, so you are pretty popular here in GA!
And I am pretty sure I love ya!!:-)

  7. I think about my blogsphere people, too. What I have learned save me years of time from having to do it all myself!

  8. Wish I were as big hearted and thoughtful as you. Thanks for the kind words. It's good that we all have each other helping us along in our journeys. Have a great weekend!

  9. Hope you have a great time on your trip! Must mean a lot to your granddaughter that you'd come especially for her recital.

And I have blogger envy too of so many great and inspiring bloggers out there! It's an awesome community.

  10. I get blogger envy, too. I think that's because there are such great people out there bloging that spark inspiration and deep thought. I couldn't imagine this journey without the blogging community--I so agree with you!

I didn't realize you were in Des Moines. (duh) I live about 3 1/2 to 4 hours from there. Don't make it down there often, but every few years. (Don't laugh, but I've been known to go to the psychic fair there. Missed this year's. Talk about cheap, fun entertainment. lol)

Go on, leave a comment. You know you want to.
